About

Marie Currie is a native Californian and a real estate professional. She chooses working on a laptop in an outdoor environment to being confined to a room with four walls and a door in a traditional office. In fact almost nothing about Marie is conventional.

From infancy to 18 years of age, Marie grew up in a less than desirable environment, scurried off from one foster home to another, even to juvenile detention centers when no foster homes were available, with only short spurts of time living with her mother. Marie faced heavy censure from others who had no idea what was going on behind the scenes. On reality, she was judged for the sins of her parents. Her background, plus this judgmental environment, had a huge impact on Marie, and unequivocally caused her to be more accepting of those who see life from a different point-of-view.

Her life changed inwardly at the age of 16, when hearing for the first time ever the words, “God loves you,” words she had never heard. She took those words to heart and almost overnight she came to know the Lord. She began to study and learn the Word of God and what it meant to be a born-again-Christian. One of the first books of the Bible Marie studied was the book of Revelation.

Years later, during a group Bible Study planning session, the concept of developing a board game to help others learn the book of Revelation in a simple format was born. In the development of the game Marie’s conviction was complete accuracy for the Word of God. She implemented seminary study methods learned from years past with her former husband, who was a minister. One huge reason for accuracy, though, is her belief that the public needed to have a true representation of God’s Word, even while playing a board game. She believes the way to stay true to God’s Word is to stay in it. In other words, she allows scripture to interpret scripture. She does not mean that to sound confusing since in fact much of the symbolism used in Revelation is clarified in other books of the Bible.

Another very important reason is found in Revelation 22:18 which says, “I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this book.”

Other passions Marie enjoys are traveling to incredibly gorgeous locations and photography, especially of animals and nature.
